Changelog
What changed in each release of OptiFlume, newest first.
1.2.1 · 20 October 2026
- Card and bank details are now checked when Codex reads a file in another folder, or a command names the file through a shell variable.
- After the Guardian stops something, the agent says so by name, and tries again when you ask again later.
- Fewer false alarms: code like
defaultdict(set)is no longer read as a command that prints secrets, and a file a command names through its own variable is checked for what it is. - The tools' own folders (
~/.codex,~/.claude,~/.cursor) are no longer protected from the tools themselves. optiflume doctortells you when a tool was started in your home folder instead of a project.
1.2.0 · 16 October 2026
- Context shared across your tools: every conversation in Cursor, Claude Code and Codex learns what your other conversations and tools did in the project since its last message, with the source, and a new conversation starts from the day's work. Nothing leaves your Mac.
- A warning before an edit when another conversation that is active now changed the same file.
- Stop/Keep in Claude Code and Codex too (the panels in VS Code and the terminal), and on the right of Cursor's status bar: opt in with
optiflume notice on, and choose the wait withoptiflume notice seconds N(3 by default). - Cursor sends a switched prompt itself: nothing is re-sent for you, so Keep works wherever you click and switching away during the countdown loses nothing.
- Guardian modes
strict, askandallow(optiflume guardian), the same in every tool; deleting what existed before the session asks first, in every mode. - Guardian: card and bank details, reads of a secret file inside a command or inline code, and an approval that covers the same delete written differently.
- Working memory after
/compactin Claude Code and Codex: the requests, files and values come back, so the next answer is still right. - A note about similar earlier work in the project at the first prompt of a conversation.
- An edit-loop warning only when the same file keeps changing and the check after it keeps failing.
- Start a prompt with
~to keep your model, in every tool. - Installing from the website signs the Mac in, until you sign out; the console shows your Macs.
- Prices for Cursor's newest models, including Muse Wonder.
1.1.1 · 8 October 2026
- Claude Code and Codex turn on by themselves after an automatic update too, so there is nothing to set up.
- Updates install themselves on Macs without Cursor: Claude Code, Codex, VS Code and the terminal all check for them.
